ASCAVIS

Year: 2015
ASCAVIS (Asteroid Categorization and Visualization) is a project that classifies and visualizes asteroid data and provides the outcome in a web service.

It may shed some light on the vast amounts of unclassified objects out there in interplanetary space and aid our understanding of planet formation, plans for asteroid mining or the identification of potentially hazardous asteroids.

ASCAVIS is a project by Lio Benz, Katja Bigge, Eduard Bopp, Norbert Harder and Tobias Kommerell.
It is a result of the NASA International Space Apps Challenge 2015.

The whole project was created within 30 hours and couldn’t be finished due to lack of resources.
