Read Paper: MEMORIZING RHYTHMS – AN ENHANCED KNOT IN THE HANDKERCHIEF
In the course of my in depth look into the subject of tangible interaction (see project “Phondle”), I researched the possible impact of TUIs (Tangible User Interfaces) on the human capability of memorizing data. Based on the idea of the known “knot in the handkerchief”, I proposed a shape-shifting interface that is used both as input and output. It is meant to provide a less-invasive form of feedback compared to sound, light or vibration.
I wrote a short paper on my findings as an exercise in academic writing that you can read here.
